I have an HTPC
Windows 7
1.5TB hdd
250GB hdd
XBMC
Radeon HD 4850 512mb
400W Gigabyte power supply
Logitec wireless keyboard and mouse

Connected to Sony AMP which connects to 32 LCD TV
System is used for gaming and HD series etc
Currently the PC is in the the garage (directly behind the TV) makes noise that's why it's there.
Wireless receiver and hdmi cable come through the wall.
Now we watch TV for about 2 hrs a night from the htpc, so I usually shutdown to save power.
Many guys have said I should let it sleep, but this will waste electricity wont it?
Any one know hoe efficient the sleep mode is?
also because it sin the garage and I shutdown, I need a way to power the pc up but that feature only seems to work with cabled mouse and keyboard.
the wireless receiver is connected to the pc via usb and ps2 connection, but when i double click the mouse it doesnt switch the pc on like it does when a cabled mouse is connected?
Any ideas?
