HTPC Remote

Just set up my HTPC this week.
Split between using XBMC and WMC - both seem to have some good features.

Can anyone recommend a good remote to use and where to get it?
My case - Antec NSK 2480b - didnt come up with an IR receiver or remote.

Appreciate your thoughts.

If you have a smartphone, all of the major platforms have great apps to turn your phone or tablet into a killer remote.

I recommend this route. There's no better way of controlling your hometheatre pc than with your smart device.

I got one of these: http://store.hauppauge.com/accessories2.asp?product=mce_remote to control XBMC, and I'm quite happy with it. Works out the box.

I also have the xbmc app on my android phone, and tbh, it's a pain to use. I only use it when I can't see the remote and I'm too lazy to go looking for it. Or to mess with the kids...

thanks for the feedback. i've tried the android apps on my galaxy tab - but dont fancy leaving that around for the kids to mess around with.
would prefer a dedicated device.

I got mine through Pinnacle - you need to be a dealer to buy direct from them though.

i bought a Hauppauge HVR 2200 card. Installed it - but havent set up with tv as yet. So cant comment yet.
Bought it from Rampage Gaming.

Can't go wrong with Hauppauge. Some units also ship with a MCE remote.
