Hi There

Does anyone know why my IPAddress differs betweeen http and https?

I am using dnsomatic.com to update various services with my dynamic ip address. One of the services is OpenDNS, and it keeps on failing to update my IP address due to the fact that my HTTP and HTTPS ip addresses are different.

how on earth can i get around this?

I am using an iburst 2mb modem, and a billion bipac 7800nx router.

Sounds like you're being a transparent proxy. Not sure how you'd get around it short of changing isp

Dns can't change how your isp intercepts port 80.
A vpn could....

The IP address seen by the website over HTTPS is your real IP address, the one over HTTP is iBurst's transparent proxy.

Do you have the option of using HTTPS only?

If dnsomatic.com cannot deal with transparent proxies (which are not new), then you could ask r00i to add them to the proxy-bypass list.
