http://www.vdsl2.co.za/ ???

The specification, called VDSL2 (Very High Bit Rate DSL 2), can deliver as much as 100Mbps both upstream and downstream, according to an ITU statement.

That bandwidth, many times current DSL speeds of just a few megabits per second or less, can handily deliver voice calls, video conferencing, high-definition TV and video on demand over existing copper phone lines, according to the standards body, an agency of the UN.

VDSL2 is expected to play a key role in faster DSL services coming from major US carriers over the next few years, although they have different expectations as to when gear using the standard will be available.

Is Nashua planning VDSL2? - I mean why would you register the name VDSL2?

1. Because you're f&cking expensive cellphone contract reseller with no trained support or service staff and has so much money lying around you start to do crazy things.

2. You don't know what VDSL2 is and think it's some mighty fine combination of letters that attracts dumb customers.

3. You like to get all prying technology aware forums on the roll speculating until the year 3010, because this is SA.

4. You really believe LLU will happen in this millenium in this country.

5. The orginisation who registered just got the name wrong. They actually wanted to register www.myvdsl.co.za. I mean who wants more irritating suckers complaining and putting fine profit making companies in bad light.

6. Registering VDSL2 is better than registering VDSL1. Now that I think of it... I'm registering VDSL3 tomorrow...
