I have been having the same problem for a long time now. I`ve tried the advice of using mtn instead of mtnsp, but still nothing. Wil someone help
 
I have checked this myself and then escalated this to our high level support and if I don't get a response over the weekend I'll follow up Monday morning.
 
If you guys want to play ISP - ISP, then you need to realise that downtime etc of days is not on.

A resolution in days is not acceptable. Hours at most.

I have tried this from GPRS 'internet' apn today and it does work. I'm awaiting the explanation of what was wrong and how it was fixed
 
I have now confirmed the problem was a security setting which has been corrected.
 
4 DAYS to resolve a problem that should never have been! A self created problem! that is unacceptable.

This was definitely an own-error. Given the consequences of any security violation there tends to be an extremely conservative approach to this but I agree it should not happen and accept that this is extremely frustrating.

I agree that the response in sorting this out was too long and have today had discussions with high level support to ensure that in future I get a better response after hours to this type of problem.

MTNbb isn't here to attend to your every whim, and I don't see that he owes you an apology of any sort! As far as I am concerned, you're lucky that he looked into your request at all.

Well, I think MTNbb (as well as his rival Vodacomg3G) deserves some (OK, actually sommer a whole lot of) appreciation for reading and responding here. I'm pretty sure they have other work to do and haven't been appointed to lounge around the forum for our pleasure. So, thanks, guys. (I assume you're guys! as generally (!) the ladies are more interest in the aesthetics of the phones than the inner workings.)

Do you understand that this oke is trying his best to help you and all you do nag nag nag, Go nag Telkom for cheaper price and uncapped ADSL and dont make this guy who is working for MTN (yes) in his probable overtime listen to your nagging. You could allways phone helpdesk with your problem, see how fast that gets resolved.
