I'm at a loss. I had this modem running under Ubuntu 10.04 with Sakis3G for ages. A few months ago I installed 12.04 (Mint Cinnamon 13) and everything worked except 3G.
The modem is recognised, the connection parameters (APN etc) are provided by the system and I get the message "connected to the cellular network" so everything looks fine. But no web pages load, and System Monitor shows upload traffic of less than 1kB/s and download is absolutely flat.
If this was Windows I would check the firewall. Any ideas where I should start looking??
