Hi all,

Currently I have a netgear ADSL router that I use for internet and streaming. The DHCP is configured to dish out custom DNS servers in order to use the smart DNS service and streaming. I've signed up for a LTE-A package and received the Huawei 618 router. But its DHCP settings look very basic - without the option of setting which DNS servers give to clients. Is there a way around this(i can't configure every client with static details) or is this just how it is?

What is preventing you from using the Netgear ADSL router for DHCP only? Aside from it being an expensive DNS server.

Its broke :( - when you log on to the user interface it just freezes so you can't config the stupid thing. Was just wondering if I am missing something but if the Huawei is not able to I'll make another plan

OK, now it makes sense. If you've tried everything (including full factory reset), then maybe invest in a Raspberry Pi to do the fancy DHCP (and the plus side is that you can load it with a whole lot more, like 802.1x, IAM, cert management, perhaps even netflow, IPFIX etc.)
