Huawei B525 and B618 VoLTE update

New update was pushed to my router that enabled VoLTE on my B618.

Yes it's the 65d version.

Impossible to get the VoLTE service added as the consultants are just too uneducated to understand my request.... Sigh....
 
Mine also got the update. Curiously, it also now permanently states I have full signal (up from 3 - 4 bars), but data speeds are unchanged. Same thing happened a while back with the update to my previous lte router, the 315, I think. Signal went from I think 2 bars to 3-4, but no improvement in actual speed.

Yes they have adjusted the signal bars and enabled the VoLTE option.

Such a pitty they should have rather enabled the VOIP option because their uneducated call centre agents don't know what VoLTE even is. :rolleyes:

+1 for voip, only thing missing from these routers

Yes very but it had VOIP right from the start which was pretty decent. The B618 had to get an update to enable it.
 
I have connected a analogue phone to my B618-65d but when making a call the status bar drops from LTE to 3G. Can not use the internet when using the phone. Once call has ended then the LTE status returns and internet connection is fine. VoLTE is enabled on the router but does not seem to be working. Telkom sim in the router. Any suggestions?
 
I'm jot sure if tm does volte yet. That's why it switches to 3g when you make call?

I'm guessing Telkom need to add the service to the profile. I tried but 10210 is so dom they lose me at the V when I mention VoLTE...

On the router it shows IMS registration status : Not Registered. I'm guessing when it shows Registered it would actually be on VoLTE.

@rpm Maybe RPM can get some clarity on this for us. TElkom pushed the VoLTE update to their Huawei B618 and B525 routers but it's impossible to get VoLTE activated. Does Telkom support VoLTE and if not do we have time frame to launch? Clearly Telkom is up to something because the update basically just enabled this feature and they would not have done it if they were not going to release/support VoLTE.
