Embattled smartphone maker Huawei says it could have its own operating system for smartphones and laptops up and running within the next few months. Exciting as it sounds - getting devs to port apps to a whole new ecosystem is going to be near impossible.
Samsung tried this with Tyzen - failed miserably. Just not enough apps available.

New version of their OS being compatible with all Andoid apps means sideloading if full compatibility is even possible. They will probably just go with something based on AOSP.

That, plus, if US Companies are barred from dealing with Huawei, the consequences extend far beyond just Google. So many day to day apps are from US based companies. They won't port/dev those apps if this silly executive order stands (which I don't think it will much longer)

Repercussions to this silliness is staggering.
What next? ALL Chinese phone/mobile brands?
MS Desktop Operating Systems banned from Huawei laptops?

Damn trump and his stupidity. Damn him and is stupid advisers to hell!
