Huawei E220 after Firmwareupdate dead

yes I have tryed a other Computer too, and other USB Ports, on Laptop and PC.
The Light is green with 8 seconds between. It is not normal.

When you insert or remove the modem do you get the classic bing and bong tomes?

If not:

1. Find another USB cable as I've had these fail quite often on both the E220 and E272.
2. NEVER use a USB Hub or any extension cable.
3. Run the Huawei E220 Firmware upgrade again and choose forced upload.

Firmware known to be 100% OK is here: http://www.dc-files.com/files/huawei/modems/E220/ as is a replacement dashboard.

If the above does not work then only a JTAG option will work and unless you have such hardware/software you are looking at around $300 to purchase...

have you tried connecting the unit to the back usb ports?
Some PCs don't supply enough power to the front USBs to run some items.

yea, also the length of the usb cable seems to effect those modems in a loss of power over distance in that the power up, but do not function properly

the cable is 15 cm short.
there is no bing and bong tone.
So long is not detected I can not start the firmware.
@ JimM: DC-FILES: Yes this are my files I use-and it work normally.
