Huawei E220 - Speeds supported.

I see that Vodacom is going to upgrade all theis data users to 7.2 at the end of March and later to 14.4. What speeds does the Huawei E220 support?

Confirmed. Mine has 7.2 firmware on. Not sure if Huawei will release a firmware update to make it 14.4. I think this little beauty is maxed out @ 7.2 due to hardware limitations.

Thanks for clearing that up. What is the Firmware version that supports 7.2? Mine is 11.117.09.05.00.

Firmware Upgrade 11.117.09.04.00 is the one that is available on the Vodacom website and that supports 7.2, so it looks you are sorted. Where did you get yours that yours is higher than the Vodacom released version?

I downloaded it from the Telkom site. Also using Telkom's version of Mobile Partner (Ver: 11.030.01.08.372). It comes with a built-in Telkom profile but I just added a Vodacom profile and set that as the default.

OK. Well, now we just have to wait for Vodacom to move us all over to the coveted 7.2 profile for free and then we are sorted. Hopefully Ginggs will then stop complaining about his 7.2 profile dissapearing beginning of every month hehe. *just pulling your leg ginns*
