I had a firmware update fail on me and haven't been able to use the device ever since.

Can anyone help please? I hope I haven't managed to brick this rather expensive device
 
As far as I know, u can toss it in the bin if ure firmware update failed!
Personally I stay away from firmware updates and if u really need one in the future ill take it to a place so that they can do it and if it fails then they get me a new one, and if it doesnt fail i pay them a odd R100 and save R2000 if i did it myself and it failed!

Where do you take it?
 
Same happened to my device, will take it to vodaworld and hope they can fix it for me. :o
Can't remember, what info do they need when you sign it in?

Just name, surname and cell number to contact you when done. If it's a Vodafone modem they will even network unlock it for you.

Anyone know where I can get an Altech modem network unlocked? Mine is on the Vodacom network but I have an MTN SIM card.
