Just want to ask, will Huawei E3131 modem work on 8ta network?

It should work without a problem as long as it's unlocked. Does it have any network branding on it? If not i don't see you having problems

The E3131 comes in two types, normal (uses Mobile Partner dashboard) and HiLink (uses browser based dashboard) but both can be set to use any network's data by setting a Profile with a generic APN of internet and a dial string of *99# and that's it.

The above APN will work for 8.ta, Vodacom, MTN & Cell C.

If you purchased from overseas, PM me the IMEI and I'll let you have the unlock code.

I recently bought me one of these modems, it is an mtn branded modem, which is not a problem since I will be using the MDMA connection manager with it. What I do want to know from people that has got the same model, have anyone been able to use the wifi feature on the modem?

I cannot find anything in the MTN software itself that converts the modem to a wifi hotspot, so if anyone can be of assistance it would be appreciated
