Hi all,
So with my ZTE it was dead easy to disable the CDROM via AT commands to allow for the modem to play nicely with the router (Planet). With the older Huawei's, it was done with AT^U2DIAG=256 and this was cool and all was at peace in the universe.
With the E353, this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
After searching, I found this little gem from dd-wrt forums http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=618504&sid=1bc4514143b17b431099d0e3a5ac6e24#618504
This seems to be hit and miss. I haven't had a hands-on with the modem as yet, been helping a buddy through IM, but does anyone know of any other method before we start mucking about with the settings as advised in the link above?
Buddy is having a problem with 8ta via an E353 in a Huawei D105 router.
Ta!
