Hi all,

MTN are forcing me to sign another 24-month 2GB data contract to keep my rate of R149 per month. If I don't sign for another 24 months, my monthly subscription will revert to R449 per month.

The modem they're offering me, which according to them is the best one I can get in the plan, is a HUAWEI E3131. However, comparing it's specs to those of the E367, it seems that they're pretty much identical and there'll be no performance gains by upgrading to the E3131.

Have I missed something? Anyone out there with some insight into the right / best 3G dongle modem to buy?

Thanks,

Tyrone

Check mtn use your own deals if you want to keep your modem if you are considering upgrading your device I recommend the Huawei E586 portable 3G router but I am not sure on what price it's check the yello trader

I am almost sure they are not FORCING you. Do you have any reason for continuing to pay them money for 2GB. You can get a 8ta 10GB account for 24 months for R199 per month. If you have coverage that is.

That is a HUGE difference.
