Huawei E620 & Dell Latitude D620 problem

Good day,

I am unable to get my Huawei E620 to pick up on my Dell D620. I am running Windows XP.

After installing the MTN software and Huawei driver I insterted the card. It only picked up 2x "NEC PCI to USB Open Host Controller" ans 2x "USB Root Hub". But no Modem.

I have reinstalled the MTN software and the Cardbus driver but still the same effect.

I tried the card on another PC and it worked.

Anybody got any ideas?
 
It sounds like your problem could be the same as this.
Where did you get your E620?
 
I received the card from MTN in September last year. It worked fine for about two months before it started giving trouble. I have reloaded my PC about 5 times, after reloading it will work again. Only this time it did not pick up after reloading.

My guess is your card was manufactured on May 19 2006, which makes it one of the older ones. Try taking your laptop, your data card and a printout of vodacom3g's post to your closest MTN Service Centre.
