I'm pretty sure those need to be bought directly from Huawei if I'm not mistakenI’m looking for a replacement Huawei EchoLife HG8240H (or equivalent), seems that the TELKOM Sales contact centre claims that this can be bought from TELKOM shops, however this is not the case.
Does anyone know who stocks this (or similar equivalent)?

So who is your FNO? If it was struck by lightning replacement should be free with your FNOBeen running around in circles most of today between TELKOM & Open Serve
At some stage, TELKOM were going to dispatch a technician at a cost of R1800 which excludes the device. I thought I’d do some homework if I went this route as i might end up spending R3000 (or more) with their advise.
Both TELKOM Call Centre & TELKOM Store have no clue and have mixed and confused messages
The device was struck by lightning, I’m convinced that you can buy a replacement.

It's better to log a fault for a technician to replace it. These ONTs can't simply be changed without Openserve updating the serial number on their side. The PON light will keep flashing as the OLT will see this new ONT as a rogue ONT.
Instead of asking them for a replacement I would suggest that you just report a fault for the line being down and say that the ONT is not powering on for Openserve to push the fault to maintenance.
Glad to hear you're sortedAfter chatting to TELKOM this morning, Openserve came out and replaced the ONT at no charge to me.
Thanks to all for your input and advise.
