Huawei Hspa dongle - Vodacom Network settings?

Hi there, very much a newbie. My late husband set up internet on my PC using a Huawei Hspa dongle and a vodacom sim card. Worked well for aged - unfortunately that PC's graphics card died. So I have a spare PC (also running XP) and on plugging the dongle in, loaded the software 100% and I can see the signal is good.
But on clicking "Connect" it says Network connection error.

Vodacom were not helpful at all. Is there somewhere on my 'new' PC that I can enter some Pop.vodacom or something? I don't need email - just access to the internet.

There is credit on the sim and it was working perfectly two days ago on the old machine.

PS If I plug it into the old one - it works straight away (Although I cant see much)

In the app that was installed on the pc, there should be profile settings of sorts that need to be changed. The APN for instance, it should be internet and the dial out code *99#. All that I can think of.
