Looking for some feedback from owners of the Mate 7. Is it still epic? Is the battery life as good as suggested?

Anyone have the single SIM one with only 2GB RAM. Is the performance as bad as the reviews would have you believe?

Don't do this to yourself, not when the Mate 8 is already out.

I have been scouring the internet for dual sim phones. I would like to get one since I am travelling the world for some time. I will be in the states for a couple of months coming up and when I am there I will be able to get stuff of newegg.com Woot! Anywho, while still in SA the MATE 7 GOLD was the big one. What is currently the flagship dual sim phone? Also what are the features I need to look out for

eg. both sim slots support 4g. both standby and active calls/sms from both. and a big bat 2600mha and bigger?

Thx for this. I've been eyeing this device for myself, but it is difficult to find a decent review for it.

Personally I have been using the device MT7-L10 Amber Gold, this phone is the bomb, well cam is not that great, but system is on point, finger print scanner best in the market, battery life best in the market, security is on point, dual SIM works like a bomb, just wish they made both slots be able to use lte simultaneously......

I've been using mine for the past year - great "little" phone. :D

I'm about to update it to Marshmallow too - not bad at all.

User problem. I hadn't extracted the zip.

She looks nice with marshmallow on.

Upgraded with MTN yesterday and got myself the Mate 7 (16GB) ... software quirks aside, I'm really impressed with this phone. Coming from a note 4, the only thing I'm missing right now is a stylus, but I'll get used to living without it in no time I'm sure. Not even noticing a major difference in speed yet, but I'm not a power user so I doubt it will be an issue in the future too.

I've never really been a Samsung fan, was only using the note cos it was a gift, so i wanted to try something different. Always been an HTC fan but the M9 is crazy expensive for an "older" device. Had the mate 8 on my radar for a bit but there again the price put me off. Slight issue for me is that it's running kitkat out the box and no updates available via ota, which is odd, but busy downloading lollipop as we speak from the huawei site, so hoping to see some improvements once it's installed. I'll try that for a couple days and maybe go to MM if its not too much of an improvement. Anxious to see how the battery performs after my first full day of medium-ish use.

Yikes, from a Note 4 with 32GB AND 3GB RAM to a Mate 7 with 16GB and 2GB RAM??? As long as you are happy.

I would have sold the Note 4 and put the money into a Mate 8, S7 Edge, OR even a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium.

I have to agree. The Mate 8 is a lovely phone.

I came from a Note 4 as well. Tried to get a Mate 7 but couldn't source any, so got the 8 in the end. I must say when I was playing with the Mate 7 in the shop, and comparing it with my Note 4, it seemed decent. Massive great big battery in the Mate 7 as well. Note 4 battery life maybe 60% as good as the Mate 8 (same battery as the Mate 7 I think).

My 2c :)

Surprisingly the mate feels faster than the note did, even when I think back to when I first got it. Don't know if it's just "new phone syndrome" tho. Love the feel and the extra screen estate. Plus I've learned the hard way that I always need to keep a decent phone as a backup. What better phone to do that with than the note ...

That is good then. Like I said, as long as you are happy, the Mate 7 is not a bad phone by any stretch of the imagination.
