I've been using the same Dell i7 laptop since early 2015.
I think it's time for a new one.

I see Huawei is going to have a special on their Huawei MateBook D14 Core i5 10210U 8GB RAM 512GB SSD

Anyone seen any better deals around? with black friday etc..

I don't mind spending a little more, but this seems like a good deal.

There was very little info on the promo page. I am hoping they include the bag etc. But no idea

Glad I went for that as my 7 year old Dell sounds like it's about to take off.

I haven't checked. I doubt I'd need 16GB, but will see if possible.
Have been fine with an old dell latitude. 4th gen i7, 8GB (2014).. Got my money's worth out of this one.
I reckon this Matebook will do the job for me.

I Googled- looks like RAM is soldered and only one slot.

I've currently got 16GB but only standard SSD. Average usage is ~10GB.

Interested to know how that stacks up vs 8GB of faster RAM + NVME HDD which is ~10x speed of my current SSD.

I'm not too clued up with hardware, I didn't really look at the specs in detail.
I bascially just work in a browser and email, so don't need anything too powerful.

I've been using a huawei p20 pro phone for the last 3 and a half years, and been thinking that with their products you get pretty good specs at a good price.
