Huawei or Samsung ?

Hi guys,

I'm hoping you guys can help me decide.

I have always used Samsung smart phones. I am thinking of getting the S7 edge now, but I've been looking at the Huawei Mate 8 and P8. They look nice, I like the large screen. The thing is I dont know much about this brand.
Anyone using these phones? What is your opinion ?
I mainly want a good battery, good Camera and it must be fast.
What would you choose? And why ?

How long do you keep your phone for? If you change before your upgrade is due and/or resell your phone after changing, go for the S7

If you'd like to save money, go for the P8 - they're excellent!

The Mate 8 looks great if you want a big phone.

Huawei has come a long way. Their phones are great and the after-sales in JHB is beyond amazing! I'd highly recommend them.

Only issue is that they aren't as budget-friendly as before when it comes to their flagships (almost Samsung pricing) and for me that's a let-down because the resale is much worse
 
I'd get the P9 Plus. Striking design, super thin, 64GB internal storage with microSD support, the 1080p display will get more out of the battery and the dual Leica camera looks really cool and it won't have Samsung bloatware.

That said, the S7 Edge is an epic phone too. Water resistant, best camera and display in class, wireless charging etc.

I suppose it comes down to the price.
 
P9 Plus is not cheap. Also camera doesn't have OIS. Just keep that in mind.
