Huawei P7 - Lollipop Update

Hi,

Huawei recently announced an update to Lollipop for the Ascend P7....finally. I knew they where bad at releasing updates...but this wait was worse than expected.

I note on the Huawei Website there is an update available for the Huawei P7 which is specific to Vodacom, and as I am still running the stock version that it came with, I was hoping to update my handset:

However, the update fails when doing it manually, and the OTA updates simply don't come through.

Has anyone had any luck in updating their P7 handsets to the new ROM available, and is this new ROM stable?

Is it true that I first need to downgrade to B609, and then upgrade the ROM again?

What is the three button method procedure?

I didn't go down to B609. In the xda link, someone asked the same, and the response was that it should be an incremental updated bootloader so if you are higher than B609, you should be fine. I was.

Three button method is to download the rom, extract the dload to a folder called dload on your sd card, then power off, hold all three buttons in till the android logo to enter update mode, select update from sd card.
