Huawei P7 vs G7

Hi guys

Haven't looked at phones in years.

Wife's iPhone 4s is on it's last legs now and we made a deal that she will take my Xperia Z1 and I can get the new phone on contract.

Saw the G7 this weekend and it is a really nice looking and good specs device for the price.

I see the P7 is considered to be the higher end model for Huawei with a better screen, processor and front facing camera. But they are basically the same price on contract.

Has anybody made the comparison? And what did you decide on in the end?

Open for any other suggestions as well. R300-R350 is my max budget for a contract.

Network? Specifically Android?

Vodacom has the Z3 compact for R399 if you can push a bit.

The P7 is nice, haven't used the G7
 
Yes I do prefer Android.

I'm not fussed about network. I'm in metro areas 99% of the time.

Would just like to keep my number.

Currently using Cell C prepaid.

The Z3 Compact is nice but unfortunately out of my budget.
 
G7 is a great phone for the price.

Massive, clear 5.5" screen.

I got one the other day for my mom.

Haven't tried the P7 so can't offer a comparison, though :(

For me, the screen alone is worth opting for the G7...

No complaints so far. :-) She was coming from a Samsung S3.

I'm really impressed with the recent Huawei devices (I also have the Mediapad T1 which is an excellent budget tab for the money).

Special at Metro Home Centre for the Z3c at R349 ;). I'd go with that if that fits your budget... Part of the Vodaworld deals released today.

I'm just going to wait for the latest Vodacom List from Ockie and will make a call from there.

So many great phones out there that I would take in a heartbeat if my budget allowed it. Note 4, HTC M8, LG G3, Z3 Compact.
