Greetings MyBB members,

Can members please share their thoughts, pro's and con's of such a unit? I personally don't have the required understanding but am reading online and building my understanding with time wrt solar solutions. I have not found much reviews on these units but the salesman is very "certain" that it is selling well and growing in the market and currently having a promotions on the units with solar panels. Each level, 5kw, 10kw, 15kw system comes with a certain amount of solar panels built into the price

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

PS: If this has been asked before, kindly share the link and I will go through it. I have been looking through the forum but could have overlooked it.

I believe the huawei battery isn't based on lifepo4 (not sure this model is the same or not)

the same as certain hubbles
Am2

Though failure rates is super low, i would definitely make sure to install any NMC based battery system in the garage not in the home

As a common man i would prefer a lifepo4 battery ,but assume these manufacturers will have lots of testing data in their 20-80 type usage of the cells if they offer a long guarantee

They are LifePO4 Technical Spec , so don't think there is an issue with the quality.

From what I have read I think the units are great in an apartment setting or home without much space. The units dont take up much space, have a high safety rating and are very silent. The disadvantage is that the batteries are 0.5c, if you buy a 5kw inverter , in order to get the full 5kw output you need to buy two 5kwh batteries. If you only buy 1 battery the output you will get is 2.5kw , which will limit how many appliances you can use. So the cost may increase when compared to other products. The Huawei app may lack support with iOS due to the restrictions on Huawei

Not so uncommon the 0.5c
Know there is pylontech and sunsynk models that are like that too

If going solar you can at least mix solar and battery and at times use more

But yea if going solar most will end up with 10kwh +
If not initially they will later there is no point in having all that solar and nowhere to go with a full battery by 10am

Roi wise you shoot yourself in the foot with 5kwh only
