Huawei voice recording problem

Hi there guys, I am hoping that anyone can assist me with the following problem that I am having with my Huawei P10.

I recorded an interview yesterday using the built in voice recorder on my Huawei p10, the interview was approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes long.
When I play it now it only shows the last 4 minutes or so of the recording, when I check the details of the recording it shows that it is 80mb's in total. The whole interview was definitely recorded.
Is there any way to recover the whole recording?

This interview is for a research assignment so it would be quite a setback if I am unable to recover the recording.

Can you see what format the file is - wav, mp3, aac etc?
You've tried copying the file to a pc and opening with various media players?

The files are saved as Mp3's
I have opened the files with 2 media players on my pc but still getting the same issue.

I have just recorded 45 minutes to test the voice recorder and yet again only the last 8 minutes is playing when listening to the recording.
