Hi Everyone

I recently been trying to lockdown my home network. Im on Afrihost Fiber and was supplied a WS5200 router.
I have a single WS5200 connected to the ONT box, and I have created a secure Guest Network and hidden secured home network, BUT I have been getting this weird unsecured open network coming up along with the ones I created. It comes up on any device (phone/laptop/printer) in my home and the signal is same strength and channel as networks I created. Any devices that connect show up under my device manager under 2.4GHZ devices.

Is this a router problem or is some other device on my network creating this open share?
I have a few latops and phones on WIFI and a smart TV hardwired in.
I have reached out to Afrihost and searched the web but no luck. Should I maybe factory reset the router
and start again or is there some setting im missing? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Wobz

Hi,

Are you sure that name is from your network and not someone else?
If I turn off my router it disappears along with the 2 I created. If I turn the router back on it appears along with the 2 I created. I do have 2 Mifi devices but its definitely not those, as they are off and battery removed.

What happens if you connect to it?
