Have had the pleasure of being on possession of a Huawei Y5 2019 for the past few days. This is an entry level Huawei phone that packs some punches compared to its entry level competitors. In my review will touch on a few of the features that the Y5 has as I am still to finish the indepth analysis and review.
The Y5 brings a new leather feel back cover that brings quality to life, it makes the phone more durable, non-slip, anti dirty and anti fingerprint. To top the luxurious ID the phone features a golden electroplated camera Border. Huawei Y5 comes in two colours Amber Brown and Morden Black. The Y5 2019 boasts of a 5.71" screen that is one of the biggest compared to its rival entry level smartphones in the market. The 5.71" dewdrop fullview HD+ 1520*720 has a good quality display that rival other mid range smart phones at the top of the screen are three features mainly the micro receiver, micro camera 5mp and this hidden sensor. The rear camera is 13mp f/1.8 giving it a descent aperture that gives it clear pictures. The camera however has few modes and options with HDR, Pro, Beauty and Panorama as the available options. To compliment the few options the Huawei Y5 2019 comes preloaded with an application called camera 360 that has many other camera options including editing pictures.
Sim tray is located on the left side and Huawei has answered many of the complaints about being unable to use dual Sim and memory card at the same time. The Sim tray has two Sim slots and a memory card slot. The power and volume buttons are on the right. At the bottom of the phone is type B charging port and a mouth piece that doubles as the speaker for audio.
Cons
Camera functionality is limited more modes would have been great
The face recognition struggles under low light
Fingerprint sensor not included
Pros
Face Recognition as a security feature is good as it compensate the lack of fingerprint
For a entry level the picture is very good
A plus is ability to edit after shots
Dual Sim plus memory card is great
Light and Comfortable in the hand
Charges in under 4:30 from 0 to 100
