Your google-fu is weak.

(Says Win8, should do Win7 as well).

PS. I have one of those cards in a Dell Latitude and the device doesn't persist if you go into sleep mode. You have to boot the OS for Windows to detect it again. I suspect the Dell supported cards send some other other feedback to the BIOS that they are there when a machine comes out of sleep. So bare this in mind with after-market internal 3G cards.

Obtuse

True true
I do not yet speak read write Chinese ( name of file referenced does not seem to have any connection to the device name ? )
How did you locate it ?
Thanks

I have read that this particular card is used in the DELL Streak ?
No idea if those DELL drivers would work ?
Is there any other 21Mb card authorised for DELL -- for the Latitude ? ( or some other DELL device ? )

WIN8 x32 & x64 version.

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS027690 <-- drivers for WIN 7 (should work with Win8). 32 & 64 bit.

It says its for the IdeaPad S206. But I figure that any WIN 8 driver/firmware for the EM820x series should work.

I don't own the EM820U yet, but I've been tempted...very tempted. I have a Lenovo B570 which has the SIM slot hidden in the battery area, but lacks the antenna or the EM820U.

I have it backed up on my dropbox as well just in case it vanishes.

Let me know if those Lenovo drivers work or not.

I'm curious and my own purchase of the card may depend on it.

Also: I just found one on ebay that has the whole kit: driver & software cd, screws & antenna as well as the Huawei EM820U for $40 USD.

Ebay item number: 140811175930

It's a tad pricey, but it's everything you'll need to set it up. For about $10 more you can get a Sierra Wireless Aircard (usb) 313u that's LTE capable...shipped unlocked from China.

Actually, I did wind up buying the Sierra Wireless 313u Aircard on eBay for $25 US.

I'm Canadian and had it shipped to Michigan, a 90 minute drive away for me. ebay.com

Regardless, I hope the drivers & firmware I posted will help someone. I decided to get LTE speed out of a $25 stick. The speed difference and cheaper cost made it an easy decision.
