So my hubble batteries are draining really fast, any ideas what could be the cause ?

Normally at night when I use the batteries my load is 0.5kw - 0.6kw, few spikes here and there but 90% of the time its averaging that.

I the past during 2 hours of loadshedding would not daring more then 20% now, its draining to almost 20%

There was a time when we had power outage for 4 days they lasted me for 3 days when I disconnected after day 2.

The batteries are not even a year old, I only use them from 10:00PM except if theres loadshedding. (No stove or qyser run on them)

During the day I run on solar.

I have HUBBLE AM-2 5.5KWH 48V LITHIUM BATTERY x 2 of them.

Please assist ?

The AM-2 seems to have some issues. You can have a look on the powerforum there is a thread about it. But also contact support as above.

I've had the same issues. Its common issue, I've looked at my historical stats and its been issue from day 1 and got worse over time.
Switching from lithium to AGMV mode solved it. i need to upgrade the firmware apparently. But yea, not sure if I want to spend money on cloudlink, wanted to go for solar assistant instead.

I am disappointed thought, lots of complains everywhere facebook, mybb, powerforum, and some even from last year. No public comms from Hubble at all.

So my Hubble having the same issue, it’s the 1 battery. It shot down to from 67 to 17% today after putting the geyser on for like 30 min, past the schedule which was 20%. And I noticed the 1 battery drained completely. Then it recharged very quickly. I even reset the battery.

I was quoted on Hubble for my system, what are good alternatives?

I’ve got 2 x 5.1 kWh LBSA that haven’t let me down. 25k each and my local stockist has stock.

For 1C, not many options.

There's Pylon, Freedom Won, Dyness, Revov, Shoto etc. from the more well known brands. They're 0.5C but they're LiFePO4 which many might argue is the better chemistry...

FreedomWon eTower is 1c apparently

All these are built with "second life" cells. I'd expect there to be a decent amount of returns for all brands so my suggestion is to go with the brand you believe will still honour the guarantee many years later.

I don't think Hubble AM-2 or AM-5 are second life.

I believe the new pylon us5000 is either 0.8C or 1C, can't remember exactly which one.

Our pylontechs have been going strong for several years, with battery health still showing excellent. Lasting as long as the first year as far as I can tell.
Hubble looked like the better battery after looking at several forum discussions lately, but you lads are making me wonder.

Their support number 083 966 3483 also doesnt seem to be working
I have had no issues with my 3x Hubble Am-2s, but I know of some folk who have had some challenges. Hubble recently changed cell configurations, the older ones were cool, the newer ones not so much.
Their support has gone down the toilet in the past few months though, the guys seem to close tickets prematurely, seems like they are chasing numbers. And advice seems to differ depending on whom one speaks to.

You don't need a Cloudlink to update firmware. The Cloudlink is useful for Hubble to be able to do remote diagnostics and monitoring (the latter if you can find anyone doing support that is remotely even interested in monitoring, so don't hold your breath).
