Hi. I feel like my batteries are draining too quickly. Does the discharge rate seem normal?
Is your load 500W? but yes, 500W should last about 7 hours.Currently have a Sunsynk 5kw inverter, paired with 1 Hubble 5Kw battery. Consumption rarely exceeds 1kW when power is being drawn from the battery, refer attachments. Inverter is currently set to discharge from 8pm, but for some reason it starts discharging earlier.
If my base load is 500w, is it realistic to expect the battery to last for 8 hours if I set it to discharge to 20%?
Generally lower than 500w.Is your load 500W? but yes, 500W should last about 7 hours.
I think the inverter itself has a 100-150W load so you need to factor that in aswell.Generally lower than 500w.
I think your installer needs to come check things out. Here's another example.
At 18:00 SOC was 90%. Battery then more or less consistently discharged 0.35kW from 18:00 to 20:20. If I add in the 150w used by the inverter, it should result in 0.5kW being discharged. So in 2 hours, I'm expecting that only 1kW of battery power should have been used.
The battery discharged from 90% to 24% though, which equates to +- 3kW.
Is my math wrong?
Is the battery set up as lithium in the Sunsynk battery settings? Here's another example.

It does talk to the Sunsynk, but some versions of the Hubble firmware has an issue that causes what the OP is describing.Did you fully charge the battery at least once using the “activate battery” setting?
As I recall the Hubble doesn’t have a BMS that talks directly to the Sunsynk or did I misunderstand that?
If so maybe the post above is right that you need to go AGM, but as with all these things reading the manual probably has the answers.
It's a 1C,you could juice it to full in an hour and a bitHow long would it take to charge a AM2 to 100% assuming it has 10% SoC and we use good old Eskom? Guess inverter brand is irrelevant for this calc.
5.5kWh times 0.9 times 0.5C = 2.475 hours. How long would it take to charge a AM2 to 100% assuming it has 10% SoC and we use good old Eskom? Guess inverter brand is irrelevant for this calc.
