Has anyone else noticed that buying data bundles through the FNB online system is basically twice the price when compared to buying from Vodacom???

I have just bought a MYMEG 500 for R159 on FNB but have now seen it listed on vodacoms online system at R99?? WTF

I have contacted FNB online banking and the have stated that they do not reflect any promotional pricing as set by vodacom and have no intention of changing their cost to reflect this.

so WARNING - rather buy data direct from vodacom and NOT via the FNB online system as you will get half the value...

Standard Banks the same. I don't have a problem with it, promotional data doesn't carry over to the next month and I'd rather use mine up that carried over from the previous month and then buy more when its used up in around the middle of the second month.

Vodacom have confirmed that all retailers (not just FNB) are selling data at those inflated prices. So one should rather call 082 155, who will then deduct the promotional amount from your existing airtime. Alternatively download the My vodacom app to your mobile and purchase through that...

Good point but I tend to burn through data on my phone so 'half price' helps.

Or just dial *111# and use the USSD method and browse for it under the promotional menu...
