Huge PS4 bundle - 499 Euros

That's the best bundle I've ever seen for the PS4. Such a shame we won't get it here at a similar price. I would definitely get one.

OK so apparently we fall under SCEE, but word is we are not included in the first wave, if we can confirm this, people need to hold on and wait for the bundles, it's massive value.
 
Must say the thought of what it's going to cost to replace my kids' PS3 collection of non backwards compatibility feels daunting.

It's a real pity that they haven't announced some kind of rebate / trade-in program.

Or... keep the PS3? That's what I'll be doing...

And Gaikai will allow you to stream PS3 games to your PS4 in time.

I only have space for 3 consoles in my TV stand. And currently those spaces are occupied by my 360, PS3 and WiiU.

As the new consoles come, the old ones get replaced.

So yeah, it does suck.

pack the WiiU away for a bit (i actually sold mine) the good games are only expected in the 2014/2015 season so looks like it will collect dust until then.

I've used them- had no issues with them in purchasing GTA V. Customer service has also been efficient with previous orders. Not sure where you got your info from?

they operate on carbonite as well and seem to have decent feedback, check there if you want to research them more before you buy. dont know about the grey import thing but they have an account there if you want to PM them and ask them.

Did some googling :o - it appears that there will be some sort of solution in place - holding thumbs that it means that if you can prove (by inserting the cd :confused: maybe) that you own the PS3 game, that it will allow you to download the compatible version from PSN.

Also, the move controllers are compatible, so if I hold out for a bundle that includes an additional controller, only have to buy two more :D

There is no "compatible" version on PSN because the code base will have been made for non-X86 processors.

Instead they will be "streaming" games via the Gaikai service which will not be hardly as friendly in South Africa. In fact they've delayed it everywhere due to lack of broadband penetration that is on par with Japanese standards.


But what's the point of a new console to play the old stuff on? Just keep the old console for that.
