After much suffering and trouble I finally have netflix (US) working effortlessly, but now I'm having trouble getting hulu up and running!

I have a roku 3 and I am trying to add the channel but it doesn't even appear on the channel list.

I read somewhere that I need to reset the roku and the account and sign up again and when it sets up for the first time chooses hulu there.

Is that the only way? Does it work?

Thanks

As long as you signed up for a US based roku account it should be there.

Out of curiosity are channels like BBC, iTV, Channel 4 and NowTV available?

^ , if OP can see those then we know where the problem is

Hi

Yip they all there and they work perfectly... I just can't find hulu....

The reason they're there is the same reason you cannot find Hulu. You've signed up for a Uk roku account instead of a US one.

You need to create a new account and then reload all your apps. If you're using unotelly make sure US is selected in the Dynamo under roku website.

That. On the Roku you choose either to get the UK apps and miss out on the US only apps like HULU, Comedy Central etc or you take the US account and lose out on the UK only apps like Iplayer 4oD etc. I decided to stay on the UK account as I do not have a HULU sub & I love the BBC programmes. Netflix is available in both regions luckily.

We've got two tvs in service and four rokus of different vintage so we have the newer ones set to the US and the older two to UK so we get both regions and app sets.

Is there a specific selection to make to choose US or UK account? Because when I setup my current account I was sure to use a US address and postal code...

Does deactivateing and reset this account completely restore settings?

I'm thinking previously I was linked to a UK account with this email address , reset and then used the US details, maybe that is why its still picking up UK.

Do you use unotelly? If not what service?

I do use unotelly...
Good - once you've gone into the Dynamo settings and ensured that the Roku region is set to US you going to have to create a new Roku account from the beginning using a different email address.

After you've set that up, after completely resetting your Roku device, you can use that account on your Roku and Hulu etc should be there.

Okay great let me just get this right...

1 setup unotelly roku settings to US
2 reset the roku
3 setup new roku account with NEW EMAIL address using US credentials

Am I correct here?

Sorry I know I'm being a pain...
Thanks again for all ur help...

Great ill give it a try....
Is there anyway to completely reset my roku account so I now don't have to create another email address?

Hi it worked... I got hulu but how do I sign up for the account? It keeps telling me I can't use non US payment methods. I tried to sign up with my FNB card and just used one us postal code but it didn't work....
