Hulu streaming issues

I have Hulu and Netflix working. My ISP is Imaginet and use Overplay VPN. Netflix works perfectly but Hulu keeps buffering on both my AppleTV and iPad.

Please could someone help.

Firstly, move away from vpn and use unotelly or unblock-us.

Secondly, under your quality setting on your Hulu Plus profile - What settings are you using?

Oh, and what line speed do you have?

Do you have a means of monitoring what else is keeping your line busy?
I find Netflix to be a lot more forgiving on a busy line compared to Hulu. Netflix just reduces quality while Hulu will pause, buffer, play, pause, etc..

I have a household of 5 and busy playing around with QoS and Bandwidth Limiting to ensure video streams and online games get highest priority no matter what is happening on the line.

If you only have one or 2 Pc's hooked up you can try NetBalancer to see what apps are making use of the line. If too many devices are connected you will need some sort of firewall/router solution that can manage all the traffic.

i am also having the same issues. Youtube and Netflix never buffers but i cant watch anything on hulu. i got a 4mb line with telkom isp uncapped. On speedtest i get + - 3mbs, however hulu still struggles. I am streaming over ps3 wifi. On a movie, i can click up and change speeds from auto to lowest and still have problems. i actually wanted to cancel hulu and giam tv because of this. Any ideas?
Is there any way to check the latency on the line.

I find Hulu on Auto works the same as Netflix and just drops the quality.
Although, on high on a 2mb line and I never have issues.

Try use a cable instead of wifi.

I had the same problem with my 10mb line. Hulu Plus would stutter when played through my Samsung smart tv, WD Live and Xbox 360. The only thing that played it smoothly was my Roku 3.
