Sooo...I now have a lvl 70 hunter.

What are the best arrows to get for my crossbow, if I'm going to be PvPing mostly and what shot rotation is best?

What stats should I look out for most?

On my mage its spell dmg and spell hit, but I don't know hunters all that well :p

PVP you don't need a shot rotation ;) you need situational awereness, shoot multi when targets are gathered up, mana drain healers/ other mana users. Arcane shot to remove buffs or just to run and shoot.
Aimed shot to function as a mortal strike etc.

Hit rating in PVP is not that critical (about 80 would give you 99% hit against same level oponents). Stats for PVP thus would be Stamina > Resilience > Agility > Crit > intelect

Best PVP spec is MM, for silencing shot and scatter shot. You will suck at PVE but your PVP will be great.

If you manage to stand still in PVP for long eneugh you can weave steady shot inbetween your autoshots, but don't count on being left alone to shoot.

BM spec also works well for PVP, but it require a lot more running with less instant shots.

As for ammo, If you just hit 70 you can prob get some blue arrows from reputation (Zanagermarsh for allies) or some crafted blue arrows. Next upgrade would be from rep in Karazhan.

Yup Werries pretty much summed it all up.
PVP is all about burst damage. The one thing Werries did'nt mention though is FD. Your best best best best friend in PVP. It makes the difference between a kill or be killed... especially when casters are on you. Hit that FD when you see a lock / mage busy with a spell cast on you. Resets their target / casting so you can shoot them another shot in between the eyes while they refocus / retarget + cast on you. Multi-shot, arcane shots, mana draining shots spammed = lots of fun.

I do agree MM is a better PVP build, but I kinda like BM spec. I have big problems getting away from rogues + warriors when I am in MM spec. BM Beastial Wrath allows me to run out of danger, where scatter is just not sufficient enough for me. Even if I get that scatter shot in on the melee opponent, most of the time the slowing poisons / crippling effects just don't allow me to get away in time.

Wow, thanks a lot! :D

Everything I needed to know in one topic :D

Awesome!

Ok, so I got respeced etc my hunter. Also got a new pet (nethermine ravanger).

Question though...melee weapons. They are pretty useless in combat so should I go for stats instead of dmg?

2 handed or 1 handed?

Doing PvP so it will be one of the Merciless weapons at first.

Stats ftw.

As for Melee weapons...if I meet a hunter in pvp with my warrior first thing I do is get in melee and nuke his fuzzy butt down, don't discount being able to smack back ;)

Well imo as a hunter the only dmg you should do with weps is to wing clip and get the **** out of there :P So id say its all about the stats.

have to say that i not seen too many hunters dual wielding.

You start dual wielding very very end game ...
If I had the two daggers from ZA / Eredar twins... I would also dual wield.
Every single top DPS record holding hunter is duel wielding.

If you are an engineer, Adamantite Arrow Machine's will give you the best pre kz arrows you can get, and they are relatively cheap to make. Getting the recipe to drop is a ballache

I think the reason for PVP hunters wielding 2handers is the heavy burst damage in melee in emergency situations. Difference between a killing blow and dying yourself

I don't get it...I wanted to PvP only with my hunter, but to get the best arrows I need rep with The Voilet Eye -.-

So I need to raid to get better arrows...sigh...

Thanks, I think I'll go for the 2 hander :)

2 handed weapon for higher damage.
If you do arena you will equip your 2handed weapon with agi enchant when you go up against DPS teams and need max damage.

Duel wield with +30int on each weapon to have more mana and last longer against teams with healer.
