I showed someone eblocker and now they want one to turn the Internet on and off from the kids. I don't know if the other SBCs will load the image. I think its a debian buster image but no idea what additional hardware support is in the image.

I'm pretty sure a second hand NUC should do the job

eblocker seems to be able to do more than adguard home. Technically it should if you look at how it works.

In fact, adguard home and pihole, work exclusively by rewriting dns.

This eblocker actually rewrite your default gateway/router ip address in mac, eg. it makes the clients think it is the actual router. It then go on and does packet inspection, even on encrypted connections by injectings it's own certificate. It looks like you need to add it's root certificate to your client devices to make this work better. It only uses dns rewriting as a fallback mechanism.

eBlocker uses ARP spoofing to act as the gateway for all TCP/IP traffic.

Alternatively, you can configure eBlocker as the gateway yourself or use the eBlocker DHCP server.

Without ARP and fully under your control.

It would be cool to add a schedule for blocked services/sites in order to turn on/off automatically.
