Okay - a fair bit of excitement in the northern suburbs this morning with reports of a brown hyena.

Then my sister called to say that it was in her street and Securitas were chasing it.

I heard on the radio that a vet is on his way to dart it - it's under a bush.

But my sister says that the some folk are talking about witchcraft. That's bad enough in rural areas but the cops are now a little worried that someone might be set alight.

I think Hyena is a vile creature .... but I cant help but feel sorry for this poor thing. Shame ... must have been terribly frightened. :-(

They say she cut up her paws from running away from people chasing it etc.
