Everything stinks lately,

Literally..... On the bus, in our office, perfumes, cigarettes, shopping centres. I have always had a sharp sense of smell/taste, but never to this extent.

I have stopped smoking for around 6-7 months now - (I think) so it might be that.

I'm male (As Shaun knows) sense of smell has been going a bit wonky for a week or 2 - had bronchitis recently - went on a pretty heavy dose of prednisone and antibiotics.

Been smelling lots of poop - literally - picked up a shopping basket n flung it away again - smells are generally coming across stronger now.

Perhaps you have too much estrogen in your body. Testosterone breaks down into oestrogen, prenidsone affects this pathway however it only does it with chronic usage so its unlikely.

probably related to your stopping of smoking will take some time to normalise.
