Hyundai Atos reverse lights

Hi all

I recently purchased my first car, a 2001 Hyundai Atos. I noticed today that the reverse lights are not working properly - they sometimes work and sometimes don't. I've checked the fuse and it's fine. I suspect it's a faulty reverse light switch. Anyone have an idea where it's located on the car? Anything else I should check that could be the culprit?

I would certainly like to give it a shot replacing it myself but, if all else fails, I'll have to take it in to a mechanic.

most of the time it is the reverse switch. its located on the gearbox with electrical wires connected to it
