I purchased a getz last year. It didnt have a service book. I asked the sales man and he said that you dont really need a service book bec its all on the system these days. Ive been thinking about it. Ive sent it in twice for a service now. Is there anyway for me to get a service book with stamps up to date?

I'm sure its possible, get a service book, have the dealer check up the dates, stamp and sign, a friend of mine lost his Polo's service book, and VW had no problem stamping a new one for him.

it's all on their system, you can pull a service history if you want.

Thanks guys. The problem is that it is under a service plan for now. So when the service plan finishes I might want to take it some where else if hyundai is too expensive and I need that book. Will speak to hyundai next time I take the car in and see what they say.

Just save yourself issues in the long run and get a service book asap.

I confirmed this with two seperate Hyundai dealerships for both my car and the wifes.

The advantage of having a stamp in the book is its easier for on the fly negotiations when you want to sell your vehicle instead of waiting for the buyer to first confirm your service history.
