Hyundai Sonata

Hi Guys,

I am very interested in buying a Hyundai Sonata (2nd hand). Anyone here have any experience with the '12 and/or '13 models? It doesn't seem like there is a big difference between the models, is there, apart from cosmetics?

General reviews that I have read so far indicates that it is in excellent car although not as refined as its German counterparts, which as a Toyota Corolla driver I don't really care about.

Nothing wrong with them, good reliable cars.

Test drove a 2012 demo a while back:

• 
  PROS:
• Good looks
• Lots of nice 'extras' as standard
• Thirsty when pushed

• 
  CONS:
• Weak 2.4L Engine for such a large car which means you end up revving it more than you really should
• Soft suspension

Over all coming from a Rolla you will love it!

They're not fast at all, but coming from a Corolla, it'll be a nice upgrade.

Driven a 2.4l, very under powered but very spacious. Steering is bland, drive is bland, very much a non-drivers car. It is very big, and feels a bit like a boat when you drive it. Personally, I would rather get a second hand 3 series or C class. They are much smaller, but drive is a lot more refined.

Not one Hyundai is a drivers car.

I am driving a Corolla at the moment and I love it! You can tell me nothing of a non drivers car If I could have bought a Camry I would.

test drove one when we purchased our ix35 and i loved it, not sure whats a "non drivers car" but i thought it was awesome.
