4 email Aliases sharing 1 address, and they seem to send out ( 1 address had handled over 70 today without problems). Some of the messages I sent yesterday and so far all today seem to receive a delivery delay Notification :
"This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

<[email protected]>

The reason for the problem:
4.4.2 - Bad connection 'timeout'"

Obviously I have tried sending out in various ways, and asking people to send to me, I have eliminated internal error. From the message :
"Reporting-MTA: dns; iport-01.dbn.wbs.co.za

Final-Recipient: rfc822;[email protected]
Action: delayed
Status: 4.0.0 (temporary failure)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 4.4.2 - Bad connection 'timeout' (delivery attempts: 0)
Will-Retry-Until: 03 Dec 2010 10:15:27 +0200"

it seems my messages are going out and then not being delivered to the recepitients. My message follows the same path as everyone else at the office, it goes out from our Lan suite, then only my messages hangs at iburst undelivered to my customers....

Well iburst, let me know what you have just changed. A flood of my test messages just came through to two of my test addresses. I am out of the office so I will follow up with my customers tomorrow to see if it went through.

I sent out to 3 test addresses, apart from those to my customers. I quoted mylife.unisa.ac.za as an example, I had already eliminated Microsoft's mail.exchangelabs.com as a source of error, as well as our office setup. Email went through from alternate email addresses as well as iburst aliases but not mine. So iburst, let me know what was up...

Port 25 is blocked on the iBurst network except to smtp.iburst.co.za. The telnet test will always fail and means nothing in this case.
