I just got and installed a brand spanking-new 9800GTX+ and latest drivers. My eyes popped out when I logged on in Dalaran and saw 9 FPS.

WTH?

I should’ve bought anti-wow-addiction pills intead.

What CPU do you have.... I have a feeling that quite a few framerate issues are CPU related.

I have a 9600GT and get 9FPS as well in Dalaran.

I can tell you though, that my CPU is the problem. I have a 3800+ Dual Core AMD which is about 4 years old and screaming for a replacement :p

make sure you shadows are not set to full, the top 3 sections are for testing purposes and should be removed, they will own any gfx card.

should have bought an ATI :)

hope that is a lesson well learned ?

sigh....

I'm going to totally reinstall the game. I've threatened to do that for a long time now since i use the US version to play on EU servers. Luckily a friend of mine provided me with all the discs/patches.

Ons sal maar sien of die fps die selle bly.

Apart from WoW, every other pc-game runs smoothly, even on ultra settings(50fps+). I'll report if there's any difference.

before you try and reinstall, disable all your addons. I had problems with some. I think Questhelper and some map addons can be pretty harsh on latency.

I still have issues in Dalaran. When I log on in Dalaran, its horrendous. Also when I hearthstone into Dalaran. This normally lasts for a few seconds, then fps seems to stabilise to a decent level. Outside of Dalaran its no problem.

I did that...no change...

before you reinstall

delete your interface, cache and config(wtf?) folders and try it

I also did that and yes, my fps went up 25-29. Then i took a good look at that folder. Omg, 3 years of crap collected there, especially the "saved variables" folder. (90meg). old mod's data that's no longer in use.

I'm still going to re-install though. Maybe squeeze out a view more fps.
