It's been a while but I finally did it. I broke 100 for the first time in years. Medal. No rings. And it was a great feeling 96.

Okay. Okay. It's all about me and golf. Having reached a high of shooting 82 in competition and consistently holding a 15 handicap, it has a painful run of abysmal 100+ scores.

Today was just great. Lost only one ball. Duffed it off the tee box into water. The course was forgiving and greens true. Nothing more than a 3 wood off the tee, which isn't an disadvantage as I easily hit 270 metres with it. Just chuffed.

I can add that I carried my bag in the hottest day so far in the Berg. I learned that drinking more water more frequently helps for stamina. Although the course is quite hilly, the vistas were just awesomely beautiful.

So if you ever get a chance, Glen Garry (Drakensberg Gardens) is worth the effort.

Thought it was a weightloss thread.

The 18th green with a massive trout dam just behind it. I'll try upload some of the pics I took on my phone. Tapatalk crashes when attempting to upload.

Well done, I remember when I did that :D

You'll see the next challange is to break 90 consistantly and that'll soon follow.

My best round ever was 76 at Gary Player, and another achievenment was a hole in one at Wingate CC Pretoria :D

Keep it up, it's the greatest sport ever and I wish I could play more than currently.

Congratz man,I played my first golf round when i was 18, 18 hole comp between two CC, i was not a member, friends father organised the comp,so i played. I was the only one who won for the CC i was playing for, shot a 72 that day.

First and last round i ever played,i was a huge golf fan and practised on fields when i grew up so i did have a lot of practise :) practise makes perfect, breaking 90 is around the corner, now u have more reason to play more golf.

Congrats! I'm yet to reach this milestone in Golf. Need to play more and learn to hit my driver :/
