Today I woke up to a fantastic feeling, one I haven't felt since Fallout 3 was released. Anticipation and impatience have begun an inexorable reaction in my mind. I can't wait for this game!

So the question is, what to do to ease my anticipation?

Probably the first thing would be to join a guild. Havibg done that I'll have to begin reading every bit of info I can on my chosen class and begin planning for that.

But most importantly, I have to sit back and enjoy this feeling of excitement, it's been a while since a game brought this sort of emotion out of me.

I have to agree, I played the first guild wars and was rather dissappointed but after following this closely and watching all the media stuff on the GW2 I am super excited about this. I can't remember being excited for a game like this since WoW launched and I am expecting GW2 to blow WoW out the water.

I like the thought of a Asura necromancer, just the thought of a cute little creature raising the dead. :p

I haven't even thought about a race yet, will have to look into racial passives (if their are any) first

It's a great feeling, also one I have not felt for a very long time.

Well, I'm planning on an Elementalist. Fire, sparkles and pain. Sounds very promising :D

This old man has not been this hyped up since getting vanilla wow and I haven't even looked at the classes in detail yet. Preordered two copies yesterday and have about three weeks before I go back to work.

To ease your jealousy, when I go back to work, I might not be able to play for around a month .... :crying:

Same here. It was one of the few online RPGs I never tried.

Hmm, one question. Graphically, do you think older CPU/GPUs can handle it at lower settings?

Well optimisation is all over the place atm. It is designed to run on lower spec hardware and laptops at lower settings but at times even my semi-beefy PC gets bogged down to under 20fps. Depending on your setup it will be fairly hit and miss.
