I need emotional support. I cannot kill this bastard in GoW... I feel like crying. Ended up watching the extra DVD in the collectors edition of GoW after trying what felt like a billion times!
 
Same here, i've been trying for weeks to kill him, even followed the strategy guide, no luck :(
 
What mode you playing on?

He is pretty easy try the bugger on God mode! Then you cry tears!
 
Yeah i have finished it on casual, its a different story on insane
 
Took me more than an hour to take him out. And that was on casual.

At the end I got lucky. When the chapter starts I ducked behind the closest cover (right in front of you when you start). Took out that one shot pistol thingy and headshotted him till my ammo was up. Took out the standard machine gun (with the chainsaw) and let him have it till he was close enough for the shotgun to do max damage. Then just blind fired in his direction with the shotgun. I think the shotgun slowed him down a bit cause he couldn't get round the cover I was behind to take me out.

There's no real trick that I could see to take him out. You just have to do enough damage. Getting the damage amplifier on reloads helps alot. Especially with the shotgun. I haven't read any strategy guides so I don't know if there are any different ways to do it.
 
On Insane it helps a lot to have a buddy assist you. But in the other levels of difficulty you should be able to take him down without much hassle.

I prefer the crossbow and with 6-8 perfect reloads you can take him down in Casual & Hardcore. If Raam gets too close lob grenades by using the blind fire technique so you dont have to expose yourself.

Insane required 6-8 crossbow perfect reloads & 6-8 sniper gun perfect reloads.
 
First thing first, you can't shoot through the krill, you have to wait till he steps into the light and they fly away. (vice versa for you - stay in the light!)

Second - I start with the "heavy weapons" - Torque bow/Sniper rifle, headshot if possible. Plug him as many times as you can. When you're out of ammo, switch to the lancer and empty everything you have into him, once again - only once he's "krill free" otherwise you're wasting ammo. That should do it.

I agree with useless about the grenades, when he gets close blind throw them to distract him, and if need be run to the other end of the car, there's very similar cover on the other side.

The best thing to do though is invite a friend in and do it co-op. Bot Dom is an absolute idiot! I'm keen to do it again (I'm keen to try get to the troika), so if I'm online drop me an invite.
 
I've defeated him on Casual and Hardcore and it's pretty simple once you know how;

The first horizontal block to duck behind is the only place you need to be. Once his steps into the light and the Kryl fly off him, aim for the head and shoot him like a mad man. Keep repeating.

If he manages to get close to you start blind firing. Keep jumping over the same concrete block when he comes around. Remember not to waste ammo when Kryl are flying around him. The WILL dissapear, just be patient. When he is close, it's best to blindfire using shot gun. Hope this helps.
