Electronic Arts' games are known to be as buggy as the Congo with the first launch.
This really sucks, because it means I can't pre-order Mass Effect 3, for fear that my anticipation will be met with a buggy let-down. So, I have to wait a couple of months for the patches to start rolling in. (Which is usually almost as big as the game itself)

On the plus side, waiting for the patches before getting the game saves me a buck or two.

Does anyone else feel that the Company should really put some effort into getting the games fixed before shipping?

BFBC2 had no problems. Well apart from the server issues. (From what I recall though)

yeah MOH was quite bad, i think people who bought MOH were dissapointed, it had its moments for sure. i have a redeem code for any game on EA( not preloads but one month after preload up to 31st of dec), my machine isnt that great and just manages to play COD(pretty stuttery), i spoke to EA and asked them if i could give the code to someone else to use as i didnt think i could use and enjoy, they said no problem, would be cool if i could swap it for mw3:)

Not just EA, everyone should finish their games before release, not a few months after with patches, and extra maps/missions/hats that you have to pay for. Although with ME3 you're pretty much guaranteed disappointment, bugs or not.

Did you get a sneak peak that I missed? From what I've read, it's pretty awesome.

sadly even during ALPHA/BETA phases I am sure things won't/don't get noticed which in the end leaves them bringing out patch after patch.

my only issue is that, bringing out 1 new patch, makes it so they have to bring out another new patch because the 1st screwed up something.

all in all I am happy with patches and being on uncapped makes the size no issue, but dammit, don't make it so that the patch to fix something, screws up more things.

Games are generally buggy when they are released, but i would rather get a buggy game early than have to wait another month for them to fix it...

Mass Effect 3 is coming already? Yes! cant wait... How much is pre order anyway?

Just bought mine on Takealot for R380. It's the collectors edition.
My worst regret is that I didn't buy the collectors edition of Starcraft. They're well worth the extra R100 or so.

This happened to me with Arkham City... I got to BT games and when I saw the shiney Collectors Edition I asked them if I could upgrade my normal pre-order to that, they said none were available. Haven't been that upset with myself in a long time. From that day on, I swore to never not buy the CE of a game I'm really looking forward to.

So Diablo 3 CE pre-ordered... Mass Effect 3 CE pre-ordered

Ummm no dude it had major bugs. In general i find single player games generally don't suffer many issues, it's the online flavours from EA that tend to be well umm ya a bit dodge at first :D.
