But a few things put me off about the review itself - things which made me want to write in and complain. For example :
We tried our best to enjoy the extra atmospheric effects, but the reality is our ears had a tough time hearing anything beyond placebo effects
Do you notice how he blatantly compares it the Marantz unit? It's just not on!
You'll want to leave plenty of space in your home theater rack to fit the receiver, especially since it tends to run hot.

Dynamic Volume minimizes abrupt soft/loud volume changes in movies and other program materials; it does work, but again sound quality suffered.
Again, another blatant comparison to another gaming console - the PS3 this time. How cane one be allowed to write a review like this?
And the finale, is this quote ... his verdict
The main takeaway is that you shouldn't go with the TX-SR607 if you're looking for an AV receiver with excellent upconversion video quality
He's got a hidden agenda.
You *think* he's simply reviewing and pointing highlighting the good and bad, but in fact, with this example he's comparing to a professional video converter found in movie studios globally. He's trying to push you towards a Sony. Granted, you need to read inbetween the lines, but that's exactly what he's doing. In one swoop, he's compared to Marantz, Xbox, PS3 and a professional video converter.
