I suffer from bad sinus drip and sneezing sometimes so I got a box of Sinutab Extra Strength for relief. I take 1-2 pills in the morning and at night most days. I noticed that recently in the mornings I literally feel sick to my stomach and have a vomit-ish feeling and general malaise along with complete loss of appatite... like I'm gonna pass out at any moment but luckily it hasn't happened yet.

I suspect that this is due to those sinus pills that I have been on, but I'm not sure any more cos I stopped taking them after yesterday - been on them daily for a month or so. Could this be due to my self-medication?

Yeah, such meds usually have a disclaimer on them saying:

Do not take for more than 7/10 consecutive days without consulting your doctor.

Use saline water.

You've been taking 2000mg of paracetamol daily for a month (that's the normal strength, not extra strength so it will be even more). The info sheet says: "Do not use continuously for longer than 10 days without consulting a doctor."

Also:
KNOWN SYMPTOMS OF OVERDOSAGE AND PARTICULARS OF ITS TREATMENT
Paracetamol
At first (during the first 24 hours), a patient who has taken a large overdose of this medicine may be pale and nauseous, and begin to vomit, have a lack of appetite, and stomach pain.

OK
I had this problem, for years. I probably owned shares in Sinutab's parent company. Eventually it got so bad I started getting recurrent pneumonia and lung infections.
I had a major sinus op and since then life has been just peachy. I get throat infections maybe once a year (mostly from kids in my son's school) but I don't get colds anymore, nor do I get flu easily. I used to get so doggedly sick and be off work for a whole week, that doesn't happen anymore.

This surgery is expensive, and getting DisROBBERY (aka Discovery) to pay for it was a tricky exercise.

Yes saline solution rinsing is the recommended treatment. I have to do it every day since the op. Apparently the need for the op was caused by years of not being cleaned out.

I was in the same boat. Constant sinusitis, frequent throat infections, and bouts of tonsillitis.
So I decided at the ripe age of 37 to have them removed.
Big surprise - the ENT also diagnosed my sinusitis as hayfever :wtf:

Two weeks of extreme discomfort, including a wound reopening and me spitting about a liter of blood in the ER. And I'm on a low dose of anti-histamines. But no sinusitis, no throat infection (Except for the usual bugs the kids bring home from school)

I know what you mean, I bled like hell after the op, about 1 week of discomfort.
I had my tonsils removed at 3 years of age so it wasn't that. I was treated by a German doctor, he is apparently very good.

Have serious sinus issues myself at the moment. Nothing has worked so far meds, saline solution, steam, sea water..... Nasal passages aren't really congested but further up is where the trouble is.

Sister had an op too. Improved her issue somewhat but far from a cure. Still looks like somebody punched her in both eyes after a few days visiting here. Not for the faint hearted that op I recall her vomiting blood everywhere when she came out which was rather disturbing to witness.

go see an ENT.
I had the same thign for years and more recently during Decemeber I suffered for 3 weeks and thought I was going to have my tonsils removed! couldn't eat, felt nauseas..post nasal drip, throat felt like i swallowed a chain saw!!
ENT put me on 2 cortozones, and: nexiam...apparently for "silent reflux" i didn't complain, coz in 2 days

throat infection- gone!
post nasal drip- gone!
swollen tonsils- gone!

havent looked back since!

I concur. Go see an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. Self medicating for more than 10 days can be dangerous.
