So today after being with Vodacom for 21 years I ported to Telkom Mobile.

In the 21 years there was good times and bad times. I just decided that it is time for a change.

Will see how it goes.

Please keep us updated, I'm seriously considering doing the same thing. The quality and strength of network seems like its no longer worth the prices they charge.

I ported a month ago to MTN due to the ridiculously high data prices on Vodacom. Port was not without issues, but I am very happy now.

Same here, so far Telkom Mobile has been faultless

Best move you could have made
Porting to cell C was the best thing i have done I too was with Vodacom from the start trading a Siemens porty for my first phone. They are the most expensive network and you really don't get value for the price
I have not had to call the call centre once to main about OOB since joining cell c

My only gripe from my time on Telkom Mobile from Vodacom was delayed bank sms's - sometimes hours. I eventually could not handle it and moved back to Vodacom. Both on prepaid.

I'd really like to be on Telkom, but the delayed sms's caused havoc in my business life

With FNB you only have to open the banking app.

But I have not experienced any delays when using my credit card online. OTP's come through immediately

Virgin Money / ABSA sms's were affected. So too were ARM / DISARM sms's from our office alarm company.

I can only think there was a routing issue but Telkom support is properly poor.

Conversely, when I moved back to Vodacom and I couldn't register at vodacom.co.za because of my previous registration, 1 tweet to Vodacom111 had the issue fixed in under an hour...

So far I'm lucky. My notifications from the different bank accounts come through quick
